June 1, 2015 (Work Session) <br />Page 2425 <br />Sheriff's Department - Interlocal Agreements between Cabarrus County and the <br />Cities of Concord and Kannapolis for Secondary PSAP Funding <br />Lieutenant Ray Gilleland, Sheriff's Department, advised the State of <br />North Carolina has recognized that Secondary Public Safety Answering Points <br />(PSAP) shall receive 911 funds from the State through the Primary PSAP. He <br />stated the cities of Concord and Kannapolis are Secondary PSAPs and are now <br />eligible to receive these 911 funds through the Primary PSAP which is Cabarrus <br />County. He further advised the funding for the cities is determined by <br />formula from the State, and will not affect the funds allocated for the <br />County. He also responded to questions from the Board. <br />Finance - Presentation of Fee Change Requests in FY16 Budget <br />Susan Fearrington, Finance Director, announced department heads will <br />present information about fee change requests for their departments. <br />Bobby Smith, Emergency Management Director, and Steve Langer, Fire <br />Marshal, presented fee change requests made in the FY16 budget to the Cabarrus <br />County Fire Marshal's Office.
