Update <br />The Board received the monthly financial update for informational <br />purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br />(I -5) BOC - Receive Updates_ from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to <br />Municipalities or on Various Boards /Committees <br />None. <br />(I -6) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees <br />Applications are being accepted for the following County <br />Boards /Committees: <br />• Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee - 5 Vacant Positions <br />• Cabarrus County Animal Protection Advisory Board - 2 Vacant <br />Positions <br />• Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) - 1 Vacant Position <br />• Home and Community Care Block Grant Committee - 3 Terms Expiring <br />Soon <br />• Human Services Advisory Board - 2 Terms Expiring Soon <br />• Juvenile Crime Prevention Council - 2 Vacant Positions (Student <br />under 18) <br />• Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee - 7 Vacant Positions <br />• Senior Centers Advisory Council - 2 Terms Expiring Soon <br />• Transportation Advisory Board - 1 Expired Term and 3 Vacant <br />Positions <br />• Youth Commission - 6 Vacant Positions <br />Chairman Morris reviewed the aforementioned list and urged citizens to <br />consider participating on a Board or Committee. <br />GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS <br />Chairman Morris announced the December work session meeting will be <br />held on Tuesday, December 15t. <br />Vice Chairman Poole announced the December regular meeting will be held <br />on the second Monday of the month, December 14th <br />K) WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />None. <br />L) CLOSED SESSION <br />(L -1) Closed Session - Pending Litigation, Economic Development and <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session to discuss <br />matters related to pending litigation, economic development and personnel as <br />authorized by NCGS 143- 318.11(a)(3), (4) and (6). <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt, <br />the Board moved to come out of closed session. <br />Return to Open Session <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved a settlement of $95,000.00 with <br />Systel Office Automation and adopted the following budget amendment. <br />Date: 11 /15/2015 Amount:$95,000 <br />
