Poole, Chairman <br />/s/ Megan Smit <br />Megan Smit, Clerk to the Board <br />(G -7) Finance - Update of the Construction and Renovation Fund Budget and <br />Related Project Ordinance for Public Safety Radio Replacements and <br />Governmental Center Chiller Re lacement <br />Pam Dubois, Deputy County Manager, advised this item is no longer <br />necessary since the radios and chiller were removed in the adopted budget <br />motion. <br />(G -8) Finance - Update the Small Projects Capital Fund Budget and Related <br />Pro Ordinance for the Prime Farmland Protect <br />Pam Dubois, Deputy County Manager, advised, as part of the FY15 Capital <br />Improvement Plan, $125,000.00 is allocated to the Prime Farmland Project. <br />The $125,000.00 will be reallocated within the Small Projects Fund from <br />Deferred Tax Collections into the Soil and Water Department to be used for <br />the surveys, appraisals and purchase of land for conservation efforts. This <br />agenda item records the reallocation of funds through a budget amendment and <br />revised Small Projects Capital Project Ordinance. The total Small Projects <br />Fund is not increased or decreased by this action. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Measmer <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the revised Small Projects <br />Capital Projects Ordinance and the related budget amendment. <br />Date:5 /22/2014 Amount: $125,000 <br />Dept. The project authorized is for the purpose of accumulating and <br />appropriating general fund revenues and federal and state grants <br />funds received specifically for use by the appropriate Cabarrus <br />County Department who has received the funds. <br />B. The officers of this unit are hereby directed to proceed with this <br />capital project within the terms of the guidelines as set forth by <br />the federal and state government, Generally Accepted Accounting <br />Principles (GAAP) and the budget contained herein. <br />C. It is estimated that the following revenues will be available to <br />complete capital projects as listed: <br />Board of Elections Department: <br />Interest on Investments $ 33,200 <br />Contribution from General Fund $ 25,621 <br />Contribution from Capital Reserve $ 150,000 <br />
