The report was included for informational purposes as part of the <br />Agenda. No action was required of the Board. <br />(I -4) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees <br />Applications are being accepted for the following County <br />Boards /Committees: <br />© Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee - 8 Vacancies <br />• Animal Protection and Preservation Advisory Committee - 10 Positions <br />With Expired /Expiring Terms and 1 Vacant Position <br />® Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) - 1 Vacant Position <br />• Council for a Sustainable Local Economy <br />• Food Policy Council - 8 Positions with Expired Terms <br />• Harrisburg Fire Advisory Board - 1 Position With Expired Terms <br />• Home and Community Care Block Grant Committee - 1 Vacant Position <br />• Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority - 2 <br />Vacant Positions <br />• Jury Commission - 1 Position with Expiring Term <br />® Juvenile Crime Prevention Council - 1 Vacant Position (KCS Student <br />Under 18) <br />o Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee - 7 Vacant Positions <br />Transportation Advisory Board - 2 Vacant Positions <br />o Youth Council - 3 Vacant Positions with Expired /Expiring Terms <br />Chairman Poole reviewed the aforementioned list and urged citizens to <br />consider participating on a Board or Committee. <br />(I -5) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to <br />Municipalities or on Various Board /Committees <br />Commissioner Burrage updated the Board on the recent Soil and Water <br />Conservation District Board meeting and advised of a potential farmland <br />preservation project discussed at the meeting. <br />Vice Chairman White commended the Cabarrus Health Alliance (CHA) on <br />achieving national accreditation through the Public Health Accreditation <br />Board. He also provided an update on the success of Jay M. Robinson High <br />School students at the Vex Robotics competition in Greensboro, NC. <br />Commissioner Measmer commended Harrison Reiff, Youth Council member, on <br />being selected to serve on the Youth Legislative Assembly in Raleigh, NC. <br />Chairman Poole updated the Board on the most recent MPO meeting, also <br />attended by Tony Tata, NCDOT Secretary. She commended Jay M.
