These <br />programs provide energy <br />efficiency upgrades to <br />homes, repairs to HVAC <br />HHI - Housing and <br />X <br />X <br />Home Improvements <br />systems, and mobility and <br />accessibility improvements <br />for the elderly. <br />Home /CDBG - Whole <br />Grant funds <br />X <br />X <br />Cabarrus County participates <br />house repair and <br />in the amount <br />in a consortium with seven <br />rehabilitation <br />of $98,411 <br />other jurisdictions to <br />with a <br />receive HOME funds from the <br />required <br />US department of Housing and <br />County match <br />Urban Development. The HOME <br />of $25,000. <br />program allows for general <br />housing rehabilitation. Under the local <br />guidance of the Soil and <br />Water Board, natural <br />resources stewardship <br />opportunities in both <br />incorporated and <br />unincorporated areas of the <br />county are identified and <br />prioritized. The Soil and <br />Water Board is the only <br />portion of this program that <br />is mandated. <br />
