July 16, 2012 (Regular Meeting) Page 1168 <br />Per NCGS 105- 373(h) the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners may <br />relieve the Tax Collector of the charge of taxes on motor vehicles that are <br />one or more years past due when it appears that the taxes are uncollectable. <br />Historically, the Board of Commissioners have relieved the Tax Collector of <br />the charge of these taxes when they become three (3) years past due. The Tax <br />Collector's office has exhausted all means of collections on vehicle taxes <br />due for the 2007/2008 tax year. The settlement report for fiscal year 2011/2012 is attached. <br />This report contains real, personal and motor vehicle delinquent taxes that <br />remain unpaid for the fiscal year. These lists are hereby recharged to the <br />Tax Collector for collection.
