September 17, 2012 (Regular Meeting) Page 1246 <br />Chairman Poole urged citizens to consider participating on a Board or <br />Committee. <br />(I -2) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to <br />Municipalities or on Various Board /Committees <br />Commissioner White presented an update on the CONNECT CCOG (Centralina <br />Council of Governments) meeting. <br />Commissioner Measmer stated the Youth Council met for the first time <br />since the school year commenced, there are a number of applications they are <br />reviewing and encouraged students to submit applications. <br />(J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS <br />Chairman Poole announced the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce <br />Annual BBQ is October 2, 2012; and the 2012 Resident's Rights Celebration is <br />October 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Concord. <br />Richard M. Koch, County Attorney, presented a brief update on the sale <br />of the old Bethel School property. <br />Board members expressed appreciation to the Clerk for her service to <br />the County.
