January 18, 2011 (Regular Meeting) Page 291 <br />Applications are being accepted for the following County <br />Boards /Committees: <br />• Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee <br />• Animal Protection and Preservation Advisory Committee <br />• Cabarrus Planning and Zoning Commission (Kannapolis Zoning Area) <br />• Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) <br />• Council for a Sustainable Local Economy <br />• Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority <br />• Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee <br />Chairman White asked citizens to consider participating on a Board or <br />Committee. <br />Commissioner Carruth announced the vacancy of a veterinarian position <br />on the Animal Protection and Preservation Advisory Committee and encouraged <br />veterinarians to apply. <br />(J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS <br />None. <br />(K) WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />None. <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br />(L -1) Closed Session - Location or Expansion of Industries <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session to discuss <br />matters relating to the location or expansion of industries or other <br />businesses in the area served by the public body as authorized by N.C.G.S. <br />143- 318.11(a)(4). <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of closed session. <br />(M) RECESS <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting recessed at 8:53 p.m. until January 28, <br />2011 at 4:15 p.m. at Camp T.N.
