(F -9) ITS - Approval of Interagency Agreement for Collaborative Technology Services With Cabarrus County School Board Cabarrus County wishes to engage in a strategic partnership with Cabarrus County Schools and Kannapolis City Schools to efficiently deliver quality technology services to our citizens, students and staff. An Interagency Agreement for Collaborative Technology Services will allow the County and School Districts to establish a framework for future opportunities and partnerships. Each initiative will be identified with a schedule and would have a project scope, support structure, term of service and identified accountability for project deliverables. It is requested that the Board of Commissioners authorize the County Manager to execute an Interagency Agreement for Collaborative Technology Services with the Cabarrus County Schools and Kannapolis City Schools. The agreement would allow the County and its partners to engage in initiatives which would reduce costs, enhance services and increase technology sustainability for Cabarrus County Schools and Kannapolis City Schools. It is also requested that the attached schedules be approved to allow Cabarrus County to provide for Data Center Cc- location for Disaster Recovery and High Availability for the CCS and KCS. Finally, it is requested that the County Manager be authorized to negotiate and execute future project schedules upon review by the County Attorney. The Interagency Agreement and schedules with the Kannapolis City School Board was approved by the Board of Commissioners on July 18, 2011. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Measmer and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Interagency Agreement for Collaborative Technology Services with Cabarrus County Schools; and authorized the County Manager to execute the contract, subject to review or revisions by the County Attorney. (F -10) Sheriff - Governor's Highway Safety Grant Application The sheriff's office is applying for third year funding from the Governor's Highway Safety Grant in the amount of $66,179.00. Grant funds are used to support the Speed Control and Accident Reduction Project in the town of Harrisburg. The Speed Control and Accident Reduction Project is an effort to increase speed enforcement, driver education and reduce vehicle accidents. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Measmer and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution: Resolution No. 2011 -21 North Carolina Governor's Highway Safety Program LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL RESOLUTION Form GHSP -02 -A WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office (The Applicant Agency) (herein called the "Agency ") has completed an application contract for traffic safety funding; and that Cabarrus County, North Carolina (The Governing Body of the Agency) (herein called the "Governing Body ") has thoroughly considered the problem identified and has reviewed the project as described in the contract; THEREFORE, NOW BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners IN OPEN MEETING ASSEMBLED IN THE CITY OF Concord, NORTH CAROLINA, THIS 19 DAY OF September, 20 11, AS FOLLOWS:
