An <br />Interagency Agreement for Collaborative Technology Services will allow the <br />County and School Districts to establish a framework for future opportunities <br />and partnerships. Each initiative will be identified with a schedule and <br />would have a project scope, support structure, term of service and identified <br />accountability for project deliverables. <br />It is requested that the Board of Commissioners authorize the County <br />Manager to execute an Interagency Agreement for Collaborative Technology <br />Services with the Cabarrus County Schools and Kannapolis City Schools. The <br />agreement would allow the County and its partners to engage in initiatives <br />which would reduce costs, enhance services and increase technology <br />sustainability for Cabarrus County Schools and Kannapolis City Schools. It <br />is also requested that the attached schedules be approved to allow Cabarrus <br />County to provide for Data Center Cc- location for Disaster Recovery and High <br />Availability for the CCS and KCS. Finally, it is requested that the County <br />Manager be authorized to negotiate and execute future project schedules upon <br />review by the County Attorney. <br />The Interagency Agreement and schedules with the Kannapolis City School <br />Board was approved by the Board of Commissioners on July 18, 2011. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Measmer <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Interagency Agreement for <br />Collaborative Technology Services with Cabarrus County Schools; and <br />authorized the County Manager to execute the contract, subject to review or <br />revisions by the County Attorney. <br />(F -10) Sheriff - Governor's Highway Safety Grant Application <br />The sheriff's office is applying for third year funding from the <br />Governor's Highway Safety Grant in the amount of $66,179.00. Grant funds are <br />used to support the Speed Control and Accident Reduction Project in the town <br />of Harrisburg. The Speed Control and Accident Reduction Project is an effort <br />to increase speed enforcement, driver education and reduce vehicle accidents. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Measmer <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution: <br />Resolution No. 2011 -21 <br />North Carolina Governor's Highway Safety Program <br />LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL RESOLUTION <br />Form GHSP -02 -A <br />WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office (The Applicant Agency) (herein <br />called the "Agency ") has completed an application contract for traffic safety <br />funding; and that Cabarrus County, North Carolina (The Governing Body of the <br />Agency) (herein called the "Governing Body ") has thoroughly considered the <br />problem identified and has reviewed the project as described in the contract; <br />THEREFORE, NOW BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />IN OPEN MEETING ASSEMBLED IN THE CITY OF Concord, NORTH CAROLINA, THIS 19 DAY <br />OF September, 20 11, AS FOLLOWS: <br />
