Pintec is a locally owned company and very customer service <br />oriented. Pintec will follow the healthy vending policy guidelines, work <br />with Cabarrus County to increase sales of healthy vending items, and offer <br />the most competitive pricing for products. Additionally, Pintec will be <br />assisting the Parks Department in purchasing items for the pool and golf <br />concessions, which will allow Parks to offer a greater selection at a lower <br />administration cost. <br />According to the County Purchasing Agent, the RFP (Request for <br />Proposals), "FY 2012 Vending Machine Services" was posted to the county <br />website ( www.cabarruscounty.us ) on July 27, 2011. <br />Bids were received from the following vendors: <br />1. Atlas Food Systems and Services, Inc. <br />2. Pintec Vending Services <br />3. Compass Group /Canteen Vending <br />4. Coca -Cola Bottling Company Consolidated <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Measmer <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the bid award and authorized the <br />County Manager to execute the contract between Cabarrus County and Pintec, <br />subject to revision by the County Attorney. <br />(G) NEW BUSINESS <br />(G -1) Commerce - APPL2011- 00001, Appeal of Rezoning Case RZON- 2011 -00003 and <br />Public Hearina - 6:30 P.M. <br />On July 12, 2011, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered a <br />request to rezone approximately +/- 138.094 acres from LC /CR (Limited <br />Commercial /Countryside Residential) to LC /HDR (Limited Commercial /High <br />Density Residential). The property is located on Highway 24/27. The <br />Planning and Zoning Commission acted to deny the request. An appeal has been <br />filed regarding the case; therefore the Board of Commissioners must hold a de <br />novo hearing and render a final decision. <br />After disclosing that Michael R. Burgner, the agent in this case, is <br />also a fellow partner in the law firm where he practices law, Chairman White <br />MOVED to recuse himself from consideration of this item. Vice Chairman Poole <br />seconded the motion and the MOTION unanimously carried.
