Terry Triplett has served since 2003, Jane Cauthen has served since 2003, Terri Stancil has served since 2005 and Troy Barnhardt has served since 2001. Exceptions to the "length of service" provision will be needed for Mr. Triplett, Ms. Cauthen, Ms. Stancil and Mr. Barnhardt. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Measmer and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Steven Ayers (Member of Faith Community) to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council for a two -year term ending September 30, 2013. By the same vote, the Board reappointed Terry Triplett (Police Chief /Designee), Jane Cauthen (DSS Director /Designee), Terri Stancil (Member of Business Community), Michelle Wilson (Local Health Director/ Designee), Troy Barnhardt (At- large), Dawn Thomas (At- large) and Marta Meares (At- large) to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) for two -year terms ending September 30, 2013; including exceptions to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy for Mr. Triplett, Ms. Cauthen, Ms. Stancil and Mr. Barnhardt. I) REPORTS (I -1) FPC - Cabarrus County Food System Assessment Final Report The Board received the following report as part of the Agenda: the Cabarrus County Food System Assessment Final Report. (I -2) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to Municipalities or on Various Board /Committees None. (I -3) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees Applications are being accepted for the following County Boards /Committees: • Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee (4 Vacancies) • Animal Protection and Preservation Advisory Committee • Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) • Harrisburg Fire Advisory Board • Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority • Juvenile Crime Prevention Council • Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee (7 Vacancies) • Youth Council Chairman White asked citizens to consider participating on a Board or Committee. (L) CLOSED SESSION L -1) Closed Session — Personnel Matters UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Burrage and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session as authorized by NCGS 143- 318.11(a)(6). Richard Koch, County Attorney, and John Day, County Manager, were invited into the closed session. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Measmer and unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of closed session at 10:50 P.M. (M) ADJOURN UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Carruth and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:50 p.m.
