February 15, 2010 (Regular Meeting) <br />~a}~srru~'UnianC~u n~yLina <br />._~.. <br />: <br />v:d , <br />. <br />r <br /> <br /> <br />r - ..er <br />. <br />i ~...}qg 1=.- <br />i .~i~ <br /> <br />8'h.~ <br />_ J .~.~, <br /> ,~~ t <br />r .... - <br />~ ' <br />.,~ <br />kiltcld~+tur~~'~,. : <br />°.~ , <br />~ ~ ~` <br />~ <br />~ ~~ ~a <br />~ t .k'~~•x:.~~ ~ <br />` <br /> ~.''"~ f <br /> +, ~! ~~~ <br /> ~~f <br /> <br /> udon <br />--- (ropc~rd 4Mt <br />_ 9~ <br /> <br />[~nfa <br />^ <br />I~ie~ C9~* t e~yn t+err~ <br /> w~~aar~a~~,au <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, second <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the <br />approve the location of the Cabarrus/Union County <br />plat entitled "County Boundary Re-survey Plat For: <br />LINE" and appointed Greg Belk as Special Boundary <br />County. <br />CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />RESOLUTION <br />A RESOLUTION OF COUNTY BOUNDARIES COMMON <br />WITH THE COUNTIES OF CABARRUS AND UNION <br />Resolution No. 2010-05 <br />WHEREAS the North Carolina Geodetic Survey has been designated and <br />funded by the North Carolina General Assembly to assist with the resurvey of <br />ambiguous or uncertain county boundaries pursuant to GS 153A-18; and, <br />WHEREAS The North Carolina Geodetic Survey has resurveyed a part of the <br />Cabarrus and Union County lines; and <br />WHEREAS, in 1994, 1997, and 1999 the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners requested the assistance of the North Carolina Geodetic Survey <br />(NCGS) to survey and help establish the location of all county lines common <br />with adjacent counties pursuant to GS 153A-18; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to GS 153A-18, a special commissioner must be <br />appointed by each county to supervise the surveying, marking, mapping, and to <br />act as a liaison between Cabarrus County and the NCGS; and <br />WHEREAS, Ted Cisine, Special Boundary Commissioner for Cabarrus County <br />has terminated his employment with Cabarrus County and turned over all <br />materials relevant to the county boundary to Greg Belk, Land Records Manager <br />for Cabarrus County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners does hereby accept the County lines as shown on the plat <br />entitled 'County Boundary Re-survey Plat For: THE CABARRUS-UNION COUNTY LINE, <br />Cabarrus County & Union County, North Carolina," and dated May 20, 2009, as <br />being the true boundary between the Counties; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />authorize Greg Belk, in replacement of Ted Cisine, to commission the survey <br />of the boundary between Union, Stanly, Rowan, and Cabarrus Counties. <br />Adopted the 15th day of February, 2010. <br />Page 1797 <br />ed by Vice Chairman Poole <br />following resolution to <br />line as presented on the <br />THE CABARRUS-UNION COUNTY <br />Commissioner for Cabarrus <br />/s/ H.
