Jay White, Sr. <br />Chair, Board of County Commissioners <br />Attest: <br />/s/ Kay Honeycutt <br />Kay Honeycutt <br />Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the report of 2009 outstanding <br />delinquent taxes that are a lien on real property and ordered the Tax <br />Administrator to advertise these tax liens on March 21, 2010. <br />(G) NEW BUSINESS <br />G-1 Transportation - North Carolina Department of Trans ortation - Public <br />Transportation Division (NCDOT) Section 5311 Grant for the Fiscal Year 2010- <br />2011 - Public Hearing - 6:30 P.M. <br />Bob Bushey, Transportation Operations Manager, reported the Cabarrus <br />County Transportation Department plans to apply to the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation (NCDOT) for Section 5311 grant funding totaling <br />$401,020.00. He further reported the grant funds will be used to cover <br />administrative costs and requires a 15 percent local match of $60,153.00. <br />Chairman White opened the public hearing at 6:54 p.m. The Public <br />Hearing Notice was published in English and Spanish on February 19, 2010 in <br />THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE. The Public Hearing Notice was also posted on the <br />County's website (www.cabarruscounty.us) on March 2, 2010 in both languages <br />in accordance with Article 2, Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of Electronic <br />Means to Provide Public Notices) of the Cabarrus County Code of Ordinances. <br />There was no one present to address the Board; therefore, Chairman <br />White closed the public hearing. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution: <br />Resolution No. 2010-08 <br />HUMAN SERVICE AGENCY TRANSPORTATION RESOLUTION <br />State Funds <br />FY 2011 RESOLUTION <br />Applicant seeking permission to apply for Human Service Transportation <br />funding, enter into agreement with the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation, provide the necessary assurances, and the required local <br />match. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Coy C. Privette and seconded by <br />Commissioner Grace Mynatt for the adoption of the following resolution, and <br />upon being put to a vote was duly adopted. <br />WHEREAS, Article 2B of Chapter 136 of the North Carolina General <br />Statutes and the Governor of North Carolina have designated the <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) as the agency <br />responsible for administering federal and state public <br />transportation funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation receives <br />funds from the North Carolina General Assembly to provide <br />assistance for rural public transportation projects; and <br />
