August 16, 2010 (Regular Meeting) Page 81 <br />The Advertisement for Sealed Bids Sale of County Property (Old Bethel <br />School) was published on August 18, 2010 in THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE and on <br />August 29, 2010 in THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER (Cabarrus Neighbors). The <br />advertisement was also posted on the County's website ( www.cabarrus county. us ) <br />on August 20, 2010. <br />(F -2) EDC - Presentation and Review of the Economic Development Public <br />Investor Agreement (4 -Month Extension of Contract) <br />A number of representatives from the EDC (Economic Development <br />Corporation) attended the August agenda work session and reviewed a version <br />of the Economic Development Public Investor Agreement. It was determined <br />that the County and EDC should enter into a short -term arrangement (July 1 - <br />Oct. 31) until the agreement can be finalized and to reinstate the audit <br />provision. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Economic Development Public <br />Investor Agreement between Cabarrus County and the Economic Development <br />Corporation for the period of July 1 - October 31, 2010 as presented, subject <br />to review or revision by the County Attorney. <br />(F -3) Register of Deeds - Redaction Services Agreement <br />Section 3 of N.C.G.S. 132- 1.10(fl) was amended to allow the Register of <br />Deeds to remove driver license and social security numbers from an image on a <br />Register of Deeds website available to the general public, effective October <br />1, 2009. Logan Systems will redact these two numbers from January 1, 1935 <br />through May 31, 2010 for a fee of $145,774.86. Logan Systems will redact day <br />forward beginning with June 1, 2010 at no charge.
