UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole and unanimously carried, the Board removed Carol Hovey from the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee. (I) REPORTS (I -1) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees Chairman White urged citizens to consider serving on a County board or committee. He asked interested individuals to contact the Clerk at 704 -920- 2100 or to go to the County's website at www.cabarruscounty.us/ commissioners /boardsandcommittees and view information on the various County boards and committees. Applications are being accepted for the following County Boards /Committees: • Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee • Animal Protection and Preservation Advisory Committee • Cabarrus Planning and Zoning Commission (Kannapolis Zoning Area) • Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) • Council for a Sustainable Local Economy • Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority • Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee (I -2) Tourism - Cabarrus County Tourism Authority 1 St Quarter 2010/2011 Update The Board received the Cabarrus County Tourism Authority lst Quarter 2010/2011 report as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS Several Commissioners expressed appreciation to Commissioners Mynatt and Privette for their years of public service.
