Fuel Recoverv Fee - BFI Waste Services / Allied Waste Services In response to a citizen inquiry at the Board's February regular meeting related to the continuation of the 7.5 percent fuel recovery fee for subscription waste pickup, John Day, County Manager, reported the following: the contract provides for a flat 7.5 percent fee in addition to whatever fees are charged by BFI/Allied Waste; fees are subject to annual review; a question has arisen regarding the anniversary date o£ the contract; the issue is being addressed and additional information will be presented to the Board at a later date. Future Meetings Chairman White reminded the Board of an upcoming Budget Preview Meeting scheduled for April 23, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. to be held in the Multipurpose Room of the Governmental Center. He also stated a UNCC Regional Forum regarding the Citistates Report in the Charlotte Observer will be held at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center on April 23, 2009. He stated the Citistates Report addresses very important issues related to the environment and it would be very beneficial for the Board to attend the meeting. He also reminded the Board that the April 6, 2009 Agenda Work Session will be held in the Multipurpose Room of the Governmental Center, and that renovations of the room will be complete by that time.
