The Public Hearing Notice was also posted on the <br />County's website (www.cabarruscounty.us) on November 5, 2009 in accordance <br />with Article 2, Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of Electronic Means to <br />Provide Public Notices) of the Cabarrus County Code of Ordinances. <br />There was no one present to address the Board; therefore, Chairman <br />White closed the public hearing. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Carruth and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Ordinance (TEXT2009- <br />00011) amending the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance: <br />Ordinance No. 2009-17 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE <br />TEXT2009-00011 <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as <br />follows: <br />Amend Chapter 4, Part II, Waterbody Buffer Zone as follows: <br />DELETE current Chapter 4, Part II, Waterbody Buffer Zone text <br />ADD new Chapter 9, Part II, Waterbody Buffer Zone text <br />Adopted this the 16t" day of November, 2009 by the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners. <br />/s/ H. Kay Honeycutt, Clerk to the Board <br />- 6:30 P.M. <br />Susie Morris, Planning and Zoning Manager, reviewed proposed changes to <br />the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance identified in Text Amendment No. <br />TEXT2009-00009. The proposed text amendment permits a limited number of <br />female chickens in the LDR (Low Density Residential) and MDR (Medium Density <br />Residential) zoning districts. <br />Chairman White reviewed concerns discussed at the work session relating <br />to health issues, safety, policing, and noise. Ms. Morris advised those <br />issues would be handled through the Zoning Ordinance and violations of such <br />will result in zoning enforcement actions.
