<br />(F-10) Finance - Property Easements for the A. T. Allen Replacement
<br />Elementary School - $17,810.80
<br />On December 7, 2009, the Cabarrus County Board of Education (BOE) is
<br />scheduled to approve the purchase of property easements from the following
<br />landowners: William Beaver - Power of Attorney for Bess Beaver ($7,810.80),
<br />Kenneth P. Furr ($2,500.00), Timothy Maulden ($2,500.00), William Starnes
<br />($2,500.00), and James Troutman ($2,500.00). The Board of Education requests
<br />the Cabarrus County Commissioners approve the easements and pay for the
<br />easements out of the A. T. Allen Replacement Elementary School land budget.
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the. purchase and payment of the
<br />property easements between the Cabarrus County Board of Education and
<br />landowners: William Beaver (Power of Attorney for Bess Beaver), Kenneth P.
<br />Furr, Timothy Maulden, William Starnes, and James Troutman, subject to
<br />approval by the Cabarrus County Board of Education.
<br />(F-11) Sheriff's Department - Approval of Bid from Hilbish Motor Company for
<br />Six (6) Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Vehicles - $127,410.00
<br />The Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office budgeted $250,000.00 for police
<br />vehicles for FY 2010. A RFB (Request for Bids) was advertised for six (6)
<br />Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor vehicles. The only bid came from
<br />Hilbish Motor Company in Kannapolis, NC. The price per vehicle is
<br />$21,235.00. The total amount for all six (6) vehicles is $127,410.00.
<br />The bid advertisement was placed on the County's website on November
<br />17, 2009.

<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the bid award with Hilbish Motor
<br />Company and authorized the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office to purchase six
<br />(6) Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Vehicles at a total cost of
<br />$127,410.00.
<br />(F-12) Tax Administration - Refund and Release Report - November 2009
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the November 2009 Release-Refund
<br />report as submitted and granted authority to the Tax Collector to process the
<br />refunds and releases.
