March 24, 2008 (Regular Meeting) <br />Page 757 <br />a. The Manager may transfer amounts between objects <br /> of expenditures and revenues within a function <br /> without limitation. <br />b. The Manager may transfer amounts up to $100,000 <br /> between functions of the same ordinance. <br />c. The Manager may transfer amounts between <br /> contingency funds which are set aside for a <br /> specific project upon the appropriate approval <br /> of the change order. <br />d. It will benefit Cabarrus <br />County to utilize the North Carolina State Contract vendor for Fleet Fuel <br />Card Purchases. Potential cost savings will be accomplished through <br />employees' wide variety of brand and station choices for fuel purchases. The <br />County currently participated in this program. The contract is near <br />expiration. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba <br />and unanimously carried, the Board authorized utilization of the North <br />Carolina State Contract Fuel Card program for Cabarrus County's fleet fuel <br />purchases and authorized the County Manager to execute the agreement on <br />behalf of Cabarrus County. <br />(F-13) North Carolina Education Lottery - Cabarrus County Schools <br />Application <br />An application will be submitted to the Public School Building Capital <br />Fund of North Carolina for expenditures related to the construction of a new <br />Middle School ($1,716,850.00) and another application for expenditures <br />related to the replacement of Mt. Pleasant Middle School ($1,552,585.00). <br />The applications total amount ($3,269,935.00) is budgeted to be received from <br />the Fiscal Year 2007-OB lottery proceeds for Cabarrus County Schools. This <br />request will be considered by the Cabarrus County School Board on March 10, <br />2008. No additional County funds are being requested. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba <br />and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chair to sign the two <br />applications to release $3,269,935.00 from the North Carolina Education <br />Lottery Fund. <br />(F-14) North Carolina Education Lottery - Kannapolis City Schools <br />Application <br />An application will be submitted to the Public School Building Capital <br />Fund of North Carolina for expenditures related to the addition of a wing and <br />renovation of the vocational building at A.L. Brown Hiqh School <br />($965,000.00). The application total amount ($965,000.00) is budgeted to be <br />received from the Fiscal Year 2007-08 lottery proceeds for Kannapolis City <br />Schools. This request will be considered by the Kannapolis City School Board <br />on March 10, 2008. No additional County funds are being requested. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba <br />and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chair to sign the <br />application to release $965,000.00 from the North Carolina Education Lottery <br />Fund. <br />
