APPOINTMENTS (H-1) Appointment - Hoard of Equalization & Review The terms of appointment for the following members of the Board of Equalization and Review expire on June 30, 2006: Audy Dover, Mary E. Stewart, Jeffrey Carpenter and Jim Roberts. All of the current members have indicated a willingness to be reappointed except for Mr. Carpenter. The Board of Commissioners is required to designate a Chair and Vice Chair. Recommended appointments are as follows: (1) reappoint Mr. Dover, Ms. Stewart and Mr. Roberts; (2) appoint Ronald Page (alternate) as a regular member; (3) appoint Scott Dyer as an alternate; and (9) designate Ms. Stewart as Chair and David McClellan as Vice Chair. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner Carruth and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Audy Dover, Mary E. Stewart and Jim Roberts to the Board of Equalization and Review for three-year terms ending June 30, 2011; appointed Ronald Page as a regular member for a three- year term ending June 30, 2011; and appointed Scott Dyer as an alternate to complete an unexpired term ending June 30, 2011. By the same vote, the Board also designated Mary E. Stewart as Chair and David McClellan as Vice Chair. (H-2) Appointment - Harrisburg Fire Advieorv Board The term of appointment for Graydon Choinski ends July 1, 2008. The Harrisburg Fire Department along with the Cabarrus County Fire Marshal's Office recommends the reappointment of Mr. Choinski to the Harrisburg Fire Advisory Board. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Juba, seconded by Commissioner Carruth and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Graydon Choinski to the Harrisburg Fire Advisory Board for a two-year term ending July 1, 2010. (H-3) Appointment - Piedmont Area Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Authority The term of appointment for Sabrina Hafer ends June 30, 2008. Ms. Hafer is willing to serve another four-year term. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Sabrina Hafer to the Piedmont Area Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Authority for a four-year term ending June 30, 2012. (H-4) Appointment - Public Health Authority The terms of appointment for Dr. Allan Krusell and Dr. Robert Silver end on June 30, 2008. Both have agreed to serve another term on the Public Health Authority. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Dr. Allan Krusell and Dr. Robert Silver to the Public Health Authority for three-year terms ending June 30, 2011. (H-5) Appointment - Social Services Hoard The Cabarrus County Board of Social Services (CCBSS) requests the reappointment of Betty Jean Prewitt to the CCBSS for a second three-year term ending June 30, 2011. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Betty Jean Prewitt to the Cabarrus County Board of Social Services for a three-year term ending June 30, 2011.
