July 21, 2008 (Regular Meeting) Page 907 <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the Tax Collector's settlement as <br />reported and approved the Order in accordance with G.S. X105-321. <br />(F-14) Tax Department - Write-off of Motor Vehicle Reaeivablea <br />Per G.S. X150-373 (h) the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners may <br />relieve the Tax Collector of the charge of taxes on motor vehicles that are <br />one or more years past due when it appears that the taxes are uncollectable. <br />Historically, the Board of Commissioners has relieved the Tax Collector of <br />the charge of these taxes when they become three (3) years past due. The Tax <br />Collector's Office has exhausted all means of collections on vehicle taxes <br />due from March 2004 through February 2005.
