September 23, 2008 (Annual Elected Officials Briefing) Page 975 <br />The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus attended the <br />Annual Elected Officials Briefing in the Rocky River Ballroom at the Embassy <br />Suites in Concord, North Carolina on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at 7:30 <br />a.m. <br />Present - Chairman: H. Jay White, Sr. <br />Commissioners: Robert W. Carruth <br />Coy C. Privette <br />Absent - Vice Chairman: Joni D. Juba <br />Commissioner: Grace Mynatt <br />Also present were: Mike Downs, Deputy County Manager; Pam Dubois, <br />Deputy County Manager; and Kay Honeycutt, Clerk to the Board. <br />Annual Elected Officials Briefing <br />The program began at 7:30 a.m. and included a light breakfast. Jim <br />Fain, North Carolina Secretary of Commerce, presented a PowerPOint <br />presentation entitled, "North Carolina, an Economy in Transition", which was <br />followed by a brief question and answer session.
