December 1, 2008 (Organizational Meeting) Page 1067 The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met for an Organizational Meeting in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental Center in Concord, North Carolina on Monday, December 1, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. Present - Chairman: H. Jay White, Sr. Commissioners: Robert W. Carruth Grace M. Mynatt Elizabeth F. Poole Coy C. Privette Also present were John Day, County Manager; Richard M. Koch, County Attorney; Mike Downs, Deputy County Manager; Pam Dubois, Deputy County Manager; Kay Honeycutt, Clerk to the Board and Lyndsay Hayes, Deputy Clerk to the Board. Reception for Elected Officials Prior to the organizational meeting, a reception for incoming and outgoing elected officials and a public swearing-in ceremony were held in the Rotunda of the Governmental Center at 5:30 p.m. Administration of Oath to Office: Soil b Water Conservation District Supervisors The Honorable Martin B. McGee, District Court Judge, administered the following Oath of Office to Ned Hudson: OATH OF OFFICE SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT SUPERVISORS I, Ned Hudson, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States; so help me, God. I further solemnly and sincerely swear (or affirm) that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the State of North Carolina, and to the constitutional powers and authorities which are or may be established for the government thereof; and that I will endeavor to support, maintain, and defend the Constitution of the United States, to the best of my knowledge and ability; so help me, God.
