<br />(F-S) CT Communications - Local Telephone Service Agreement
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner White
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved a local telephone service
<br />agreement with CT Communications to provide local tsie:phone service to
<br />Cabarrus County Offices September 13, 2006 through September 12, 2009 as
<br />presented in the agreement. Further, the Board authorized the County Manager
<br />to execute the agreement on behalf of Cabarrus County.
<br />(F-9) Sheriff's Department - Contract with Southern Health Partners, Inc.
<br />Southern Health Partners is requesting a revised annual contract
<br />effective July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007, with one-year renewals
<br />thereafter. This new contract incorporates the revision made December 18,
<br />2006 to increase inmate health services with funding for a new position. The
<br />dates on the original contract on file has lapsed, creating the need to bring
<br />this back to the Board.
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner White
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the contract with Southern Health
<br />Partners, Inc. for the Sheriff's Department totaling $919,688.00 for Fiscal
<br />Year 2006-2007 and authorized County Manager to execute the agreement subject
<br />to attorney review and approval.
<br />(F-10) Sheriff's Department - Piggyback of Bid from the City of Kannapolis
<br />to Purchase 12 Police Interceptor Vehicles
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner White
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the purchase of twelve police
<br />interceptor vehicles at a cost of $21,520.00 each (totaling $258,290.00) for
<br />the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office by piggybacking the City of Kannapolis
<br />bid awarded in August 2006 to Hilbish Motor Company, pursuant to North
<br />Carolina G. S. 193-129.
<br />The Notice, Awarding a Contract to Hilbish Motor Company by
<br />Piggybacking the City of Kannapolis Bid" was published on the County's
<br />website on January 5, 2007.
<br />(F-11) Finance Department - Budget Amendment (Accounting of NC Education
<br />Lottery Proceeds)
<br />This budget amendment serves to adhere to the Local Government
<br />Commission accounting guidelines by having the lottery proceeds come into the
<br />Public School Capital Fund rather than the General Fund as we had originally
<br />budgeted. The estimated budgetary amount remains the same, $9,181,192.
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner White
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment:

<br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: For budgetary and accounting purposes, this amendment
<br />moves the budget for receipt of the lottery proceeds from~the General Fund to
<br />the Public School Capital Project Fund. A transfer move s. the funds for final
<br />expenditure into the School Bond Fund.
