PLEASANT F/D $0.00 <br />NORTHEAST F/D $0.00 <br />ODELL F/D $0.00 <br />POPLAR TENT F/D $0.00 <br />RICHFIELD E/D $0.00 <br />RIMER F/D $0.00 <br />WINECOFF F/D $0.00 <br />Page 301 <br />(E-3) Authorization to Award Service Weapon to Jerry Michael Wallace on Hia <br />Retirement from the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Department <br />Jerry Michael Wallace is retiring on disability from the Cabarrus <br />County Sheriff's Department on January 1, 2007. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Authorization to Award the <br />Service Weapon (Sig. 90 Caliber, Model P226R, Serial # 0689386 for the price <br />of $1.00) to Jerry Michael Wallace on his retirement from the Sheriff's <br />Department. <br />- Adopt a Resolution to Z <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution: <br />North Carolina <br />Cabarrus County <br />Resolution No. 2007-OS <br />Resolution <br />WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office has been statutorily <br />vested with the responsibility of approving and issuing gun permits for the <br />residents of Cabarrus County for a fee set by the State Legislature, <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners are responsible for providing a <br />book in accordance with North Carolina General Statue 19-905 to record all <br />licenses or permits, including the name, date, place of residence, age, <br />former place of residence, etc., of each such person, firm, or corporation to <br />whom or which a license or permit is issued, <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 14-905, the <br />Sheriff's office has maintained a hard-bound book of gun permit information <br />and maintained this information in an electronic data storage system, <br />WHEREAS, the annual cost of replacing the hard-bound book is <br />approximately $700.00, <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Sheriff shall maintain gun permit <br />information in an electronic data storage system in lieu of a hard-bound book <br />that was provided by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners. The <br />electronic data storage shall include all licenses or permits issued under <br />this resolution, including the name, date, place of residence, age, former <br />place of residence, etc., of each such person, firm, or corporation to whom <br />or which a license or permit is issued. <br />Adopted this the 26th day of March, 2007. <br />By: /s/ Robert W.
