March 29, 2007 (Recessed Meeting) Page 320 <br />costs of $3.9 million; (5) the formation of a nonprofit organization to <br />spearhead fundraising efforts; (6) ownership of the property and its affect <br />on grant funding; (7) prioritization of project needs; (8) the structural <br />costs to bring the building up to code; (9) possibly establishing a Non- <br />profit Board of Trustees; (10) .the possibility of soliciting donations from <br />the private sector; (11) funding for this project is not included in the <br />County's five year Capital Improvement Plan; (12) confirmation of total <br />project costs is needed; (13) cost for preserving historic building; (19) <br />development of a financial plan for the entire project; and (15) determining <br />which entity will assume leadership of the project. <br />UPON MOTION of Councilmember Kitts, seconded by Mayor Pro-Tem Page and <br />unanimously carried, the Midland Town Council approved the preparation of a <br />structural cost estimate for the 27 building by Yates, Chreitzberg and Hughes <br />Architects. <br />Midland Councilmember Kitts stated the Town Council will pursue the <br />nonprofit issue. <br />Adjourn <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to adjourn at 8:39 p.m. <br />Subsequent to the adjournment of the Board of Commissioners meeting, <br />the meeting of the Midland Town Council meeting continued for some period of <br />time. <br />Cler] to he oa <br />
