April 19, 2007 (Legislative Delegation) <br />Page 347 <br />The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met with the <br />Legislative Delegation in the Auditorium of the Legislative Building in <br />Raleigh, North Carolina on Thursday, April 19, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. The <br />purpose of the meeting was to discuss the two most urgent needs facing <br />Cabarrus County - (i.g. school funding and roads). <br />Present - Chairman: Robert W. Carruth <br />Vice Chairman: Joni D. Juba <br />Commissioners: Grace M. Mynatt <br />Coy C. Privette <br />H. Jay White, Sr. <br />Also present were: Mayor Troy Barnhardt, Town of Mount Pleasant; <br />Councilmember Ella Mae Small and City Manager Brian Hiatt, City of Concord; <br />Mayor Robert Misenheimer and City Manager Mike Legg, City of Kannapolis; <br />Mayor Tim Hagler and Administrator Carl Palmer, Town of Harrisburg; Mayor <br />John Crump, Town of Midland and Chairman Liz Poole and Vice Chairman Holly <br />Blackwelder, Cabarrus County Board of Education. <br />Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order about 9:30 a.m. <br />Discussion on School Funding and Road Issues <br />PowerPoint presentations on school funding and transportation issues <br />were presented.
