The additional funding <br />will be used to purchase or repair equipment that is needed in the event of <br />an incident involving a federal nuclear facility. The anticipated grant award <br />of $12,500 was budgeted. Including the additional funds, the total grant <br />award from Duke is $17,790. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner White <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment: <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />AMOUNT: $5,290.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: We request approval to receive additional grant funds <br />from Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC. Duke Energy approved our request for an <br />increase in our annual grant funding.
