Turner Construction has <br />submitted Change Order No.l for the Sheriff's Administration Building. This class does not currently exist in the County <br />Classification and Pay Plans. If approved, a vacant Administrative Assistant <br />I, Grade 63, position (1115005) will be reclassified. Current fiscal year <br />funding is available and the additional annual cost would be $7,311.00. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the addition of the paralegal <br />class (Grade 67) to the County Classification and Pay Plans and <br />reclassification of Position No. 1115005. <br />(F-6) Establishment and Addition of Emergency Planner I Classification to <br />County Classification and Pay Plane <br />To comply with the Office of State Personnel reporting requirements, <br />the Emergency Planner class, Grade 68, (Position No. 2710003) needs to be <br />reclassified to an Emergency Planner I (Grade 68j. This position is covered <br />by the State Personnel Act. The class does not currently exist in the County <br />Classification and Pay Plans. There is no funding impact. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the addition of the Emergency <br />Planner I (Grade 68) to the County Classification and Pay Plans. <br />(F-7) Approval of Community Development Bloak Grant (CDBG) Scattered Site <br />Grant Package and Adoption of Project Ordinanae <br />Cabarrus County has been awarded $400, 000.00 in CDBG funds by the NC <br />Division of Community Assistance for the purpose of scattered site housing <br />rehabilitation in the jurisdictions of Cabarrus County, Midland, Mount <br />Pleasant and Harrisburg. The documents proposed for approval are standard in <br />nature. Cabarrus County proposes to rehabilitate six preselected homes with <br />the funds, one relocation and eight yet-to-be-selected urgent repair <br />projects. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the CDBG Scattered Site Housing <br />(SSH) Grant Agreement; adopted the Project Ordinance and authorized the <br />Chairman to execute all CDBG SSH grant-related documentation. By the same <br />vote, the Board also adopted the associated budget amendment. <br />The Grant Project Ordinance and budget amendment are as follows: <br />Ordinance No. 2007-16 <br />GRANT PROJECT ORDINANCE <br />2007-2009 CDBG Scattered Site Housing Rehabilitation Grant <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, that <br />pursuant to Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North <br />Carolina, the following project ordinance is hereby adopted: <br />Section 1. The project authorized is the Community Development project <br />described in the work statement contained in the grant agreement between this <br />
