Applicability. <br />On lots of less than one acre, garage placement shall match one of <br />the following garage standards. <br />2. Garage Standards <br />a. Side-loaded garage. <br />Orient the garage door <br />perpendicular to the street and <br />provide-an integrated architectural <br />treatment such as columns and a <br />trellis, eyebrow roof, decorative <br />masonry or other materials to <br />provide articulation and to <br />visually diminish the impact of the <br />garage doors. <br />b. Rear yard garage (alley or front loaded). <br />Locate the garage behind the rear of the <br />principal building. <br />c. Front-loaded garage. <br />i. Orient the garage toward the street, <br />provided the following conditions are <br />met. <br />ii. Position garage door at least four feet behind the primary <br />front wall plane of the building front; or <br />iii. Position the garage door flush with or forward of the front <br />of the building and provide an integrated architectural <br />treatment such as columns and a trellis, <br />eyebrow roof, decorative masonry or <br />other materials to provide articulation <br />and to visually diminish the impact of <br />the garage doors. No individual garage <br />door may exceed 12 feet in width when <br />applying this alternative and a maximum <br />of two garage doors shall be allowed. <br />Adopted this the 19th day of November 2007 by the Cabarrus County Board <br />of Commissioners. <br />/s/ Robert W. She said <br />holding a public hearing is the next step in the process. <br />The Chairman announced that this was the date, place and hour fixed by <br />the Board of Commissioners for a public hearing concerning a proposed plan of <br />financing in an aggregate principal amount of up to $195,000,000, which plan <br />would involve the entry by the County into one or more installment financing <br />contracts with the Cabarrus County Development Corporation (the <br />"Corporation") pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes 160A-20, as <br />amended, the proceeds of which would be used to pay all or a portion of the <br />costs of (i) acquiring real property, (ii) constructing, renovating and <br />equipping law enforcement facilities, including, without limitation, a long- <br />term housing unit, (iii) constructing and equipping new public school <br />facilities, including, without limitation, a new high school and (iv) various <br />real and personal property improvements related to the foregoing <br />
