UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Privette and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following budget amendment to the project ordinance for the Business and Technology Center to cover the cost of partial roof replacement: BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AMOUNT: $52,000.00 TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Internal Transfer within Department PURPOSE OF REQUEST: This budget amendment transfers funds for a partial roof replacement of the Business and Technology Center at RCCC. Contingency funds for the project will be used to cover the costs of replacing the roof. Program Operational Records) as prepared by the Division of Archives and History. Further, the Board authorized the Chairman to execute the "Approval Sheet" on behalf of Cabarrus County. (F-S) Resolution - Directing Resolution of Uncertain Boundary Between Union, Stanly, Rowan and Cabarrus Counties During the mid 1990' s Cabarrus County requested the North Carolina Geodetic Survey (NCGS) to aid Cabarrus County in establishing county boundaries with surrounding counties by a resolution in accordance with G.S. 153A-18. The NCGS surveyed the line between Cabarrus and Iredell Counties. Due to unforeseen difficulties in establishing the line between Cabarrus and Mecklenburg Counties, the NCGS depleted the funding and was unable to complete the lines with Union, Stanly, and Rowan Counties. Due to the amount of time that has lapsed, the NCGS requires a new request for their assistance. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Privette and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution requesting the North Carolina Geodetic Survey to survey and map the actual location of the county lines shared with Rowan, Stanly and Union counties and appointed Ted Cisine, Cabarrus County Land Records Manager, as the Special Boundary Commissioner for Cabarrus County: Resolution No. 2006-06 CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION DIRECTING RESOLUTION OF UNCERTAIN BOUNDARY BETWEEN UNION, STANLY, ROWAN, AND CABARRUS COUNTIES WHEREAS, some uncertainty exists or has existed as to location of the boundary, at certain places, between Iredell, Union, Rowan, Stanly, and Cabarrus Counties; and the precise Mecklenburg, WHEREAS, in 1994, 1997, and 1999 the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners requested the assistance of the North Carolina Geodetic Survey (NCGS) to survey and help establish the location of all county lines common with adjacent counties pursuant to as 153A-18; and WHEREAS, on January 20, 1998 the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution finalizing the establishment of the county line common to Cabarrus County and Iredell County based on data provided to Cabarrus County by the NCGS; and WHEREAS, on December 16, 2002 the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution finalizing the establishment of the county
