Chairman Carruth <br />reconvened the meeting at 6:36 p.m. <br /> <br />General Discussion <br /> <br />Chairman Carruth asked Board members to review the proposed budget and <br />to contact Mr. Day or Ms. Dubois with any questions. He stated the budget <br />public hearing is scheduled for June 19, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />There was a general discussion regarding the budget review process and <br />the submission ~f proposals by Board members to reduce the tax rate. <br />Commissioner Freeman questioned the cost of computers being purchased by the <br />County Schools. Also, Vice Chairman Juba suggested the possibility of a <br />delegation of local officials traveling to Raleigh to meet with legislators <br />concerning key issues such as unfunded mandates. <br /> <br />Commissioner Privette arrived at 6:49 p.m. and was present for the <br />remainder of the meeting. <br /> <br />Recess of Meeting <br /> <br />with there being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Carruth recessed the meeting at 6:53 p.m. until Monday, June 5, 2006, at 3:30 <br />p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center. <br /> <br />.J-^A~;".J ..3-.~ <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br />
