The transfer request is to move $200,000.00 from the Kannapolis City School ADM Public School Building Fund (current balance $529,917.00) to the Disbursing Fund. This request was considered and approved by the Kannapolis City School Board on November 6, 2006. No new County funds are requested. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Privette and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chairman to execute the "Public School Building Capital Eund Application" and adopted the following budget amendment: BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST DEPARTMENT OF Finance.(Public School Bldg Fund) AMOUNT: Supplemental Request TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: $200,000.00 PURPOSE OF REQUEST: A transfer request is being made to the Public School Building Capital Fund of North Carolina for expenditures related to the replacement of Shady Brook Elementary School. These projects were inadvertently omitted. Funds are reimbursed from the NC DHHS - Office of Emergency Services for the HRSA grant and from the NC Department of Crime Control and Public Safety for the Homeland Security Communications grant on a 100 percent cost reimbursement basis. Board action to liquidate the balance in the fund occurred on May 15, 2006. The attached budget request is done for the formality of closing the fund in our financial software and after the completion of the FY 06 audit. The portion of the COPS Series 2002 financing for the Cabarrus County School Administration Building and five auxiliary gym projects-was closed on August 15, 2005.
