<br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT, Supplemental Request
<br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST, On July 27, 2005, State of North Carolina Governor
<br />announced the awarding of this matching reimbursement grant of $300,000.
<br />With Cabarrus County's matching share of $150,000 and the City of Kannapolis
<br />local matching share of $150,000 and the NC State Grant of $300,000 the total
<br />amount of $600,000 will construct Phase III at North Cabarrus Park.

<br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT, Supplemental Request
<br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST, On July 27, 2005, Cabarrus County was awarded a $300,000
<br />PARTF Grant to be matched and used for the construction of Phase III at North
<br />Cabarrus Park. $150,000 of the required match will be coming from the City
<br />of Kannapolis. A contribution from the General Fund in a previous fiscal
<br />year was made for $70,000 and the remaining $80,000 will be contributed from
<br />the Capital Reserve Fund.

<br />Amendment
<br />
<br />In August, the Parks and Recreation Commission received requests from
<br />six non-profit community groups requesting $78,186.00 in funds. The
<br />Commission recommended awarding $75,000.00 toward these six community
<br />projects for FY 2005-06.
<br />
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Freeman
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following Parks and
<br />Recreation Matching Incentive Grants for FY 2005-06 and adopted the budget
<br />amendment as set forth below.
