Bonds, Clerk to the Board <br /> <br />(F-6) Write off of Outstanding 2001 Ambulance Bills ~ $327,919.07 <br /> <br /> Article 9A (44-51.4) of the North Carolina General Statutes allows <br />ambulance receivables to be treated the same as if it were a tax due to the <br />county (G.S. 105-368). Current practice is to keep three years of <br />receivables plus the current year's receivables on the General Ledger. The <br />Ambulance Billing Office has exhausted all means of collecting the 2001 <br />receivables of $327,919.07. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the write-off of the outstanding <br />2001 Ambulance Receivables for FY 2001 in the amount of $327,919.07. <br /> <br />(F-7) Librar~ - "Food for Fines" Program <br /> <br /> The 2003 ~Food for Fines" Program, sponsored by the Cabarrus County <br />Public Library system, collected over 2,000 food items in payment of fines <br />for overdue library materials. The Library proposes to repeat this project <br />this year with food items given to local charitable organization for <br />distribution to those in need. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the ~Food for Fines" project for <br />the Cabarrus County Library system for the period of November 27 through <br />December 11, 2004. <br /> <br />(F-8) Tax Refund and Release Report - August 2004 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the August 2004 Release - Refund <br />Report as submitted by J.
