Coker on his <br />Retirement from the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Department <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board, pursuant to North Carolina <br /> General Statute 20-187.2, declared surplus and authorized the award of the <br /> service weapon (Sig Sauer 40 Cal, Model: P226R , Serial # U684258) for the <br /> price of $1.00 to Rickie D. Coker, upon his retirement from the Cabarrus <br /> County Sheriff's Department on November 1, 2004. <br />(F-4) Community Links Contract with the Department of Social Service for <br />Home Studies (Child 4Palfare Services) <br />UPON NOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Community Links <br />renewal contract in the amount of $55,000.00 for the Department of Social <br />Services for Fiscal Year 2005 and authorized the County Manager to execute <br />the contract subject to review and revision by the County Attorney. <br />[] <br /> <br />(F-5) Addendum to the Project Ordinance for the Capital Proj acts Fund <br />UPON NOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following Addendum <br />to the Capital Project Ordinance: <br />Addendum to Capital Project Ordinance <br />Section 9. At the completion of the construction project, all <br />unrestricted excess funds are transferred to the General Fund for payment of <br />Debt Service and the Capital Project Ordinance is closed. <br />Section 10. The County Manager is hereby authorized to transfer <br />revenues and appropriation within an ordinance as contained herein under the <br />following conditions: <br />a. The Manager may transfer amounts between objects of expenditures <br />and revenues within a function without limitation. <br />b. The Manager may transfer amounts up to $100,000 between functions <br />of the same ordinance. <br />c. The Manager may transfer amounts between contingency funds, which <br />are set aside for a specific project upon the appropriate approval <br />of the change order. <br />d. The Manager may enter into and execute change orders or amendments <br />to County construction contracts in amounts up to $50,000.00 when <br />the project ordinance contains sufficient appropriated but <br />unencumbered funds. If the construction contracts are for Public <br />Education or the Community College, the Board of County <br />Commissioners must enter into and execute these change orders. <br />(F-6) Coltrane LIFL Center Contract with the Department of Social Services <br />IIPON NOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Coltrane LIFE <br />Center renewal contract in the amount of $61,277.00 for adult day care <br />services for the Department of Social Services for FY 2005. Further, the <br />Board authorized the County Manager to execute the agreement on behalf of <br />Cabarrus County, subject to review and revisions by the County Attorney. <br />(F-7) Granting a IItility &aeement to the City of Concord on Cabarrus Avenue <br />at Health Department Drive <br />The City of Concord Community Development Division of the Neighborhood <br />and Economic Development Department has requested that Cabarrus County grant <br />a utility easement on Cabarrus Avenue at Health Department Drive for the <br />purpose of installing a mechanical box. <br />UPON NOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board granted a utility easement on <br />Cabarrus Avenue at Health Department Drive to install a mechanical box and <br />authorized the County Manager to execute the easement subject to review and <br />revision by the County Attorney.
