Further, Mr. Smith <br />objected to the proposed development of Reed Gold Mine as a County park. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board directed the County Attorney and County <br />Manager to draft options for consideration by the Board concerning <br />representation by the Town of Midland on the Water and Sewer Authority of <br />Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />Closed Session <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session to discuss <br />a personnel matter as authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143- <br />318.11(a) (6) . <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of the Closed Session. <br /> <br />Revaluation Project <br /> <br /> Mr. Day requested authorization to secure project management and real <br />estate appraisal services associated with the County revaluation project. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs <br />and unanimously carried, the Board directed the County Manager to seek <br />proposals for project management and real estate appraisal services <br />associated with the County revaluation project and authorized the Interim <br />County Manager to execute a contract for those services in an amount not to <br />exceed $210,000.00 and further approved the appropriate budget amendment. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
