June 16, 2003 Page 158 <br /> <br />(F-l) CDB~ Scattered Site ~{ouslng Rehabilitation Program - Public Hearing - <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> Ms. Kelly Sifford, Community Development Manager, reported that <br />approximately $400,000.00 is expected to be available through the Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) Scattered Site Housing Rehabilitation Program <br />for the 2004-2006 funding cycle. Funds will be used to provide scattered site <br />housing rehabilitation for low to moderate-income persons and families in the <br />unincorporated areas of Cabarrus County as well as the towns of Harrisburg, <br />Mount Pleasant and Midland. <br /> <br /> At 7:26 p.m., Chairman Freeman opened the second public hearing on the <br />CDBG Scattered Site Housing Rehabilitation Program and asked if anyone wished <br />to address the Board regarding this program. The Public Hearing Notice was <br />published in THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER (Cabarrus Neighbors) on June 5 and June <br />8, 2003. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to address the Board, and Chairman Freeman <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />(F-2) Zoning Text Amendment (Side and Rear Setbacks in Industrial District) - <br /> <br />Public Hearing - 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mr. Rodger Lentz, Planning Manager, presented the proposed zoning text <br />amendment to eliminate side and rear setbacks for industrial zoning <br />districts. He stated the landscape buffer requirements have been found to <br />serve sufficiently in lieu of setback requirements. The Planning and Zoning <br />Commission voted unanimously to recommend the proposed text amendment to the <br />Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br /> At 7:30 p.m., Chairman Freeman opened the public hearing on Petition <br />C2003-01(T) relative to side and rear setbacks in the industrial zoning <br />districts.
