The purchase and <br />delivery price for all meals shall be a unit price of $3.34 plus applicable <br />sales tax. <br /> <br />Authorization for the Department of Social Services to Apply for a Workforce <br />Investment Act Grant <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Fennel <br />and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Department of Social <br />Services to apply for a Workforce Investment Act Grant in the amount of <br />$63,074.00 through the Centralina Council of Governments for a new PREVENTS <br />(Provision of Rapid Education, Values, and Employment Needed to Transition to <br />Self-Sufficiency) Program. The grant would provide a social worker to work <br />in coordination with the JobLink Career Center in delivering intensive <br />services to persons who would otherwise be unemployable and welfare <br />dependent. The grant requires no County match. <br /> <br />Memorandum of Understanding for Out of County Medical Transportation between <br />Cabarrus County Transportation Service and Mecklenburg County Transportation <br />System <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Fennel <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding <br />between Cabarrus County Transportation Service (CCTS) and Mecklenburg County <br />Transportation System (MTS) for out-of-county medical transportation. <br /> <br />Revised Consent Agreement for Farmington Ridge Subdivision (formerly Brower <br />Estates) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Fennel <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved a revised Consent Agreement with <br />the developer, Hinshaw-Pearson, Co., for the Farmington Ridge Subdivision <br />(formerly Brower Estates), and authorized the County Manager to execute the <br />revised Agreement on behalf of Cabarrus County. The revision increased the <br />number of lots from 131 lots to 136 lots. <br /> <br />Adoption of Updated Unlawful Workplace Harassment Policy <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Fennel <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following updated Unlawful <br />Workplace Harassment Policy as submitted by the Human Resources Director. <br /> <br /> Cabarrus County, North Carolina <br />UNLAWFUL WORKPLACE HARASSMENT POLICY <br /> <br />Cabarrus County is committed to ensure a work environment for all employees <br />that is free from all forms of unlawful harassment. Harassment on the job <br />because of sex, race, religion, age, national origin, or disability will not <br />be tolerated. Harassment may take the form of physical or verbal conduct <br />which may lead to, among other things, intimidation, aggression,~hostility or <br />unequal treatment. These unwelcome activities create a disruptive work <br />environment and are inconsistent with County policy. <br /> <br /> <br />
