June 17, 2002 Page 396 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Fennel <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed the following members to the <br />Board of Equalization and Review for terms of three years ending June 30, <br />2005: Harry Brown, Ed Hill, Eric Clark, Mary Snow and Gerald Newton. <br /> <br />Centralina Workforce Development Board <br /> <br /> The term of appointment for Mr. Mark Whitley as a private sector <br />representative on the Centralina Workforce Development Board (WDB) ends on <br />June 30. Mr. Whitley has served on the WDB since July 1996. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Privette reported he had submitted an application from Mr. <br />Darrell Bost for the position. However, Mr. David Hollars with Centralina <br />WDB had advised that Mr. Bost, who is retired, did not meet the eligibility <br />requirements for that position. <br /> <br /> The Board deferred the appointment to the Workforce Development Board. <br />Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority <br /> <br /> One vacancy remains on the Industrial Facility and Pollution Control <br />Financing Authority. There were no applications, and the Board deferred the <br />appointment. <br /> <br />Adult Care Home Community Advisor~ Committee <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Suggs and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Ms. Terri Clark and Ms. Ernestine <br />Earnhardt to the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee for terms of <br />three years ending June 30, 2005. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Fennel <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Ms. Darcie Bergandine to the <br />Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee for an initial term of one year <br />ending June 30, 2003. Further, the Board removed Ms. Kathryn Curry from the <br />Committee for failure to complete required orientation and training. <br /> <br />Nursing Home Community Advisor~ Committee <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Ms. Maxine. F. Sexton to the <br />Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for an initial term of one year <br />ending June 30, 2003. <br /> <br />Region F Aging Advisor}, Committee <br /> <br /> The terms of appointment for Ms. Betty Garmon (Regular Member) and Ms. <br />Elmira Polk (Alternate Member) as members of the Region F Aging Advisory <br />Committee end on June 30. Ms. Garmon has indicated that she is not <br />interested in reappointment due to health reasons. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Fennel <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Ms. Elmira Polk as a regular <br />member to the Region F Aging Advisory Committee for a term of two years <br />ending June 30, 2004. <br /> <br /> An appointment to fill the alternate position will be made at a later <br />date. <br /> <br />Region F EMS Advisor}, Council <br /> <br /> The terms of appointment for Mr. Ron Harwood and Ms. Paula Fox on the <br />Region F EMS Advisory Council end on June 30. Mr. Harwood does not seek <br />reappointment and Ms. Fox does not reside within Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Suggs <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mr. David Hampton, EMS Director, <br />to the Region F EMS Advisory Council for a term of two years ending June 30, <br />2004. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Suggs <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Ms. Sonya H. Miller to the <br />Region F EMS Advisory Council for a term of two years ending June 30, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />
