August 19, 2002 Page 424 Cabarrus County and to provide solid waste disposal services for the City of Kannapolis, the Towns of Mt. Pleasant and Harrisburg and the unincorporated areas of Cabarrus County; and WHEREAS, the conditions of the franchise agreement have been changed by mutual consent to include the following: BFI will waive tip fees charged to Cabarrus County on municipal solid waste collected at County-operated convenience center(s) delivered by the County to the BFI landfill at Lowes Motor Speedway. Rental fees will be waived on BFI-owned containers used for municipal solid waste located at the Cabarrus County landfill. BFI will place containers for the collection of cardboard at the Cabarrus County Human Services Center (1303 S. Cannon Blvd., Kannapolis) and at the County recycling center located near Angelo's Fish House (1534 Trinity Church Rd., Concord) free of charge. Cardboard will be collected at those si.tes by BFI and will be transported to a recycling center free of charge. BFI will provide curbside recycling collection for a fee (to be determined at a later date) in residential subdivisions in the unincorporated areas of the county upon request. Fees will be paid by subscribers. BFI will provide recycling collection at County-owned facilities free of charge; and WHEREAS, the franchise agreement expires January 1, 2003 and may be renewed for one successive period of five years. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus that the Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Franchise Agreement with BFI Waste Services of North America, Inc. is renewed for five years, including the change in conditions herein described,, from January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2007. Freeman Robert M, Freeman, Chairman Board of County Commissioners (E-15) Contract with TicketMaster UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner 'Fennel and unanimously carried, the Board approved the "Licensed User Agreement" between Ticketmaster L'.L.C., and Cabarrus County for the sale of tickets for events at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center at the Expo Park. Further, the Board authorized execution of the Agreement. TicketMaster will pay for all associated telephone lines and Internet charges. TicketMaster will pay a $2,500.00 marketing allowance on ticket sales between 10,001 - 19,999 and an additional $2,500.00 for ticket sales of 20,000 and above.
