He advised that the Sheriff's Department planned to use <br />the funds for its mobile data system. <br /> <br /> At 8:00 p.m., Chairman Freeman opened the public hearing on the Local <br />Law Enforcement Block Grant and asked if anyone wished to address the Board <br />regarding this grant. The Public Hearing Notice was published in THE <br />CHARLOTTE OBSERVER (Cabarrus Neighbors) on October 31, 2002. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to address the Board, and Chairman Freeman <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Vice Chairman Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the Local Law Enforcement Block <br />Grant of $20,602.00 and adopted the following budget amendment appropriating <br />the grant funds and the ten percent local match. <br /> <br /> <br />
