Staff recommended approval for Egll purposes. <br /> <br /> At 7:40 p.m., Chairman Fennel opened the public hearing for Street <br />Renaming Petition 01-01 (Unnamed Easement to Yellow Poplar Lane) and asked if <br />anyone wished to speak either for or against the proposed road name. <br /> <br /> The Public Hearing Notice was published in THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE on <br />March 9 and 18, 2001. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to address the Board, and Chairman Fennel <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Freeman, seconded by Vice Chairman Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition C01-01, the naming of an <br />unnamed easement off of Miami Church Road as Yellow Poplar Lane. <br /> <br />HOME Program - Publlc Hearing - 6530 p.m. <br /> <br /> Ms. Kelly Sifford, Senior Planner, presented an overview of the HOME <br />Program, a home rehabilitation program for low-income persons in the <br />unincorporated areas of Cabarrus County. She stated the program helps to <br />address the issue of affordable housing and provides funding to rehabilitate <br />the homes of elderly residents, including structural repairs, plumbing, <br />handicap accessibility, etc. <br /> <br /> At 7:42 p.m., Chairman Fennel opened the public hearing on the HOME <br />Program and asked if anyone wished to address the Board concerning the <br />Program. <br /> <br /> The Public Hearing Notice was publis, hed in THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER <br />(Cabarrus Neighbors) on March 15 and 18, 2001. <br /> <br /> There was no one present to address the Board, and Chairman Fennel <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />No action was required by the Board. <br /> <br /> <br />
