General <br />Statute 143-318.11(a) (5) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION. of Chairman Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Privette and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session as authorized <br />by North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a) (5) to consider the <br />acquisition of real property. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION. of Chairman Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Privette and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to end the closed session. <br /> <br />No action was reported from the closed session. <br /> <br />GENERAL DISCUSSION <br /> <br /> There was general discussion' by the Board regarding the following <br />issues: (1) FY 2002 budget request by the Economic Development Corporation; <br />(2) Water supply issues and options for providing additional water, including <br />the purchase of water from the charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities Department <br />(CMUD) and the City of Albemarle; and (3) Potential tax rate for FY 2002. <br /> <br />RECESS OF MEETING <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Fennel recessed the meeting at 10:10 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 9, <br />2001. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
