391 <br /> <br />Firemen's Relief Fund Trustees (13) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Casper <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the appointment of the following <br />persons as Firemen's Relief Fund Trustees as recommended by their respective <br />fire departments. Ail appointments were for terms of two years ending <br />January 31, 2002. <br /> <br />Allen - Edwin C. Phillips <br />Flowes Store - Debbie Kiser <br />Harrisburg - Richard Mauney <br />Midland - Michael Tucker <br />Mt. Pleasant - Scott Barringer <br />Odell - Keith Clark <br />Rimer - Randy Buckwell <br /> <br />Cold Water - John A. Walker <br />Georgeville - Aubrey Barbee <br />Jackson Park - Archie Coble <br />Mt. Mitchell - Earl Wise <br />Northeast Cabarrus - Sylvia Coley <br />Poplar Tent - Steve Rowland <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Commission (3) <br /> <br /> The Board received the letter from Dr. Harold Winkler, Cabarrus County <br />School Superintendent, advising that the Cabarrus County Board of Education <br />approved Mrs. Grace Mynatt as their representative to the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission. Also, the Board of Education had elected Mrs. Liz <br />Poole to serve as a backup for the position. <br /> <br /> Chairman Fennel nominated the following persons for appointment/ <br />reappointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission: (1) Appoint Mrs. Grace <br />Mynatt (Cabarrus County School Board); Reappoint Mr. Robert Misenheimer <br />(Township 4); and Appoint Mr. Scott Schaal (Township 11) . <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved that nominations be closed and the <br />following persons appointed by acclamation to the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission for terms of three years ending January 31, 2003: Mrs. Grace <br />Mynatt (Cabarrus County School Board); Mr. Robert Misenheimer (Township 4); <br />and Mr. Scott Schaal (Township 11). <br /> <br />Nursinq Home Community Advisory Committee (1) <br /> <br /> The Board received the application for Mr. Harry Ralston from the <br />Concord Nursing and Rehab Center. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Casper <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mr. Harry Ralston to the Nursing <br />Home Community Advisory Committee for an initial term of one year ending <br />January 31, 2001. <br /> <br />Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financinq Authority (2) <br /> <br /> Commissioner Casper made a motion to reappoint Dr. James R. Haviland to <br />a second six-year term on the Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control <br />Financing Authority. The Board voted unanimously to reappoint Dr. Haviland <br />for a six-year term ending January 10, 2006. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mr. David C. Black to the Industrial <br />Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority for a term of six years <br />ending January 10, 2006. Mr. Black will fill the position held by Mr. <br />Charles S. Smith who had served on the Authority for a period of 12 years. <br /> <br />Department of Aqinq Advisory Board (5) <br /> <br /> The Board agreed by consensus to defer the appointments to the <br />Department of Aging Advisory Board until the next meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS <br /> <br />Annual Report by the N. C. Department of Transportation - Nua%ber of Secondary <br />Road Miles Paved Durinq the 1999 Calendar Year <br /> <br /> The Annual Report from the North Carolina Department of Transportation <br />showing the secondary roads paved during Calendar Year 1999 was included as a <br />part of the Agenda. <br /> <br />Request by Mr. M. C. Love for Assistance in Clearinq Debris from Coddle Creek <br /> <br /> <br />
