The dead-
end road is located off Barrier Road. A memorandum dated April 10, 2000 from
Ms. Janet Slack, Planner, stated the required signs were posted on the road
stating the name under consideration.

Chairman Fennel opened the public hearing at 8:00 p.m. for the proposed
road name and asked if anyone wished to speak either for or against the
proposed name of "Cindy Lane."

Mr. David Wayne Gandy, resident of the road, supported the naming of
the road to assist firefighters and other emergency response personnel.
However, he objected to the proposed name of 'Cindy Lane" and suggested the
possibilities of Dogwood Ridge Lane or Aaron Road Extension. It was noted
that Mrs. Cindy Sartain is a current resident of the road.

Mr. Roger Sartain, resident of the road, stated contact had been made
with six of the nine homes located on the road and all agreed to the proposed
road name. He stated Mr. Gandy was not living on the road at the time of
contact.

Ms. Michelle Gandy complained that no one approached her regarding the
proposed road name even though she was a resident of the road. She objected
to the name of 'Cindy Lane," stating in her opinion the road should not be
named after someone who lives on the road. According to Ms. Gandy, the road
name should be generic or named after the original owners of the property.

There was no one else present who wished to address the Board, and
Chairman Fennel closed the public hearing at 8:05 p.m.
