572

Public Health Authority

Commissioner Privette moved that Commissioner Carpenter continue to
represent the Board on the Health Alliance Board (Public Health Authority).

After discussion, it was agreed that this issue would be considered on
December 4th after the new members of the Board take office.

INFORMAL PUBLIC COMMENTS

Chairman Fennel opened the meeting for Informal Public Comments at 8:45
p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Joel Hiott, residents of 6805 Timberwood Drive,
Harrisburg, listed concerns about the construction of the 54-inch Harrisburg-
Rocky River Interceptor project by the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus
County (WSACC). They said the project had negatively impacted their property
by creating a steep hill behind their house. According to Mr. and Mrs.
Hiott, the hill is a safety hazard and cuts them off from the rear 100 feet
of their property. They presented a video showing their property and the
interceptor project.

MS.
