564 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Chairman Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the County Manager to execute an <br />extension of the current mowing contracts with H & R Lawn Services (East <br />District) and Barnhardt's Lawn Service (Central/North District) as <br />recommended by Mr. Steve Little, Parks and Recreation Director. <br /> <br />Authorization to Purchase Hazardous Duty Mobile Robot through "Piggyback" <br />Intention Using Bid Awarded to Remotec, Inc. by Pima County, Arizona <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Chairman Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the purchase of a Hazardous Duty <br />Mobile Robot through "piggyback" intention, pursuant to North Carolina <br />General Statute 143-129, using the original bid awarded to Remotec, Inc. in <br />July 2000 by Pima County, Arizona. <br /> <br /> The Notice of Intent to "piggyback" the bid awarded by Pima County was <br />published in THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE on October 26, 2000. <br /> <br />Authorization to Purchase 2001 Type III Ambulance through "Piggyback" <br />Intention, Using Bid Awarded to TransMed Industries, Inc. by Cabarrus County <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Chairman Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the purchase of a 2001 Type III <br />Ambulance through "piggyback" intention, pursuant to North Carolina General <br />Statute 143-129, using original bid awarded to TransMed Industries, Inc. on <br />April 17, 2000 by Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> The Notice of Intent to "piggyback" the Cabarrus County bid was <br />published in THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE on October 26, 2000. <br /> <br />Authorization to Increase Fixed Asset Limit to $5,000 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Chairman Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the request by Mr. Blair Bennett, <br />Deputy County Manager for Administration, to increase the fixed asset limit <br />for purchases from capital equipment accounts from $2,500.00 to $5,000.00 for <br />the budget beginning July 2001. <br /> <br />Watershed Buffer on Former County Land at Lake Concord and Related Budget <br />Amendment <br /> <br /> Land Craft Development has constructed "Waterside Landing" subdivision <br />on former County land at Lake Concord. To ensure water quality limits and to <br />restrict public access to the lake, a six-foot high chain link fence will be <br />installed 30 feet from the high water mark along the lake shoreline bordering <br />the development. The company will clear the fence line area for the fence <br />installation and pay the $2.05 linear foot cost differential for vinyl coated <br />fencing. The County will pay $10.38 (less $2.05) linear foot for the fencing <br />installed along an estimated 3,420 linear feet of shoreline.
