264 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in recessed <br />session in Conference Room A at the Cabarrus County Governmental Center in <br />Concord, North Carolina on Thursday, June 24, 1999, at 8:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Present - <br /> <br />Chairman: Jeffrey L. Barnhart <br />Vice Chairman: Arne L. Fennel <br />Commissioners: Carolyn B. Carpenter <br /> Sue B. Casper <br /> Coy C. Privette <br /> <br /> Mr. Don Moorhead, Human Resources Director, was also present and <br />recorded the minutes in the absence of the Clerk. <br /> <br />Chairman Barnhart called the meeting to order. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session <br />as authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a) (6) to consider <br />the qualifications of a prospective County employee for the position of Tax <br />Administrator. Mr. Moorhead and the applicant(s) met with the Board during <br />the closed session. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner <br />Privette and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned the closed session. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Barnhart adjourned the meeting. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
