Bonds <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br />Resolution Establishing Filinq Fees for Candidates for County Commissioners and <br />Reqister of Deeds <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Chairman Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 1999-29 <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FILING FEES <br /> FOR CANDIDATES FOR <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, filing for the Year 2000 candidates for County Commissioners <br />and Register of Deeds begins on January 3, 2000; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Board of Elections has requested direction <br />in establishing filing fees for these offices; and <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 163-107 fixes the filing fee <br />for the County Commissioners and Register of Deeds at one percent (1%) of the <br />annual salary for each office; and <br /> WHEREAS, the annual salary for the County Commissioners is $9,381.58 <br />and the annual salary for the Register of Deeds is $50,267.67. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners hereby sets the following filing fees for the 2000 Election and <br />directs that this information be forwarded to the Board of Elections: <br /> County Commissioners $ 94 <br /> Register of Deeds $503 <br /> Adopted this the 20th day of December, 1999. <br /> /s/ Arne L.
